How to use the Omega chair

December 31, 2020 3 min read

The Omega Chair boasts 7 distinguishing features that have been designed for your health and optimized for comfort. An ergonomic chair designed for the ultimate desk setup experience, this guide will explore all its different functionalities to ensure that you can adjust it to fit your needs and curate your experience.

1. Headrest adjustment (00:05)

Long hours of sitting should not result in neck pain. With a fully adjustable headrest that can be shifted up, down, vertically, and even forward and backward, you will be able to achieve the optimal head and neck position. To move the headrest, pull it up, down or forward accordingly. There are two levels of extension should you wish to pull it forward, and to return to the collapsed mode, pull it once more.

2. Backrest angle adjustment (00:38)

Posture is one of the most emphasized aspects of proper ergonomics, and rightfully so. With the Omega Chair, you can adjust your backrest in 3 different angles, a forward position at 17 degrees, an upright position at 90 degrees, and a leaning position at 10 degrees. To unlock the mechanism, rotate the knob on the bottom right of the chair anti-clockwise. Then, lean back to the desired position, and turn the knob clockwise to lock. You will need to lean back slightly until you hear a small click to trigger the release for changing the backrest angle.

3. Backrest height adjustment (01:22)

A chair that provides good lumbar support should fill in the gap between the lumbar spine and the seat to support the natural lower back curvature. The backrest can be adjusted to 4 different levels to meet the differing needs of each individual. Each adjustment will trigger a click, and raising it to level 5 will trigger the release and return the backrest to the lowest position. You can adjust the backrest by pulling it up from under while sitting.

4. Armrest adjustment (01:46)

Often overlooked, properly utilized adjustable armrests can reduce the strain on your neck, shoulders, upper back and spine. The Omega Chair has a button under the armrest that allows you to raise it to 5 varying levels, and there will be a click sound with each adjustment. The rest pad can be moved from side to side by holding it from the top and twisting it slightly left or right. You can also push the rest pad inward or outward for maximum comfort.

5. Seat height adjustment (02:25)

The recommended seat height should allow you to have your feet flat on the floor, with your knees at a 90-degree angle. Twist the knob under the right side of your chair upwards to adjust your seat height.

6. Backrest recline adjustment (02:36)

Built with 3 reclining levels – upright at 90 degrees, slightly reclined at 15 degrees and even further back at 40 degrees – you can adjust the chair based on your preference and stay relaxed. Twist the knob located under the left side of your chair up or down to release or lock. To release, you will need to lean your weight against the back of the chair until you hear a click.

7. Footrest adjustment (03:06)

The Omega Chair was designed with ultimate comfort in mind. To utilize this function, pull out the footrest, then rotate it towards you to set it out. You can then adjust the length of the footrest by pushing it back in if required.
